Hello everyone,

I hope you are well. After the success and fun that was had at the Christmas party we are planning to have some more fun.

February is the month of love and on the evening of Friday the 18th of February we are holding a skittles event, starting at 7pm in the club room.

On the subject of love we are hoping you and your friends can join us on the night to show how much you love your club! We are hoping that any proceeds raised on this evening will go towards the club funds, with a particular focus on raising money to improve the first aid provision at the club in its new range extensions.

During recent discussions within the club Committee about the best way to improve this important aspect of our club an incredible gesture of love for this club and its membership was demonstrated, and the full amount of money required to purchase a state of the art heart defibrillator for the club was pledged by those committee members who were able and the cost of a defibrillator for the club was raised in the space of about 10 minutes! Thank you for such kindness.

It is hoped we can raise more funds to support the rest of the improvements to the first aid provision and have another super evening on the skittles evening.

The skittles evening is just £5 a head and includes your entry for the evening, to play or cheer your fellow club members on as they play, a free raffle ticket, a hot dog and free tea and coffee as usual. We are also pleased to tell you that Dan the quiz man is returning and we will be having another quiz too, so there’s something for everyone.

As the club will be closed for any shooting and there will be no access to any of the armouries on that night, if you want to bring something to drink, including alcohol, you are most welcome. Just remember to allocate a driver beforehand so you can get home safely and legally.

All ages are welcome to join in, as at the Christmas party, which made it a lovely do. Please make sure you sign up on the sheet on the table in the club room before the night and pay your entry money into the cash tin with the form on the table. If you are not going to the club this coming week then you can email Claire and let her know you are joining us on Friday.

There are more raffle tickets on sale at a £1 a strip again in the club room before and on the night. Extra hotdogs and onions will be available for 50p each too.

We are collecting donations for raffle prizes, and have already received a fabulous pledge of a voucher for a free boiler service, so even if you won’t be able to join us on the night, it is certainly worth getting those raffle tickets!

If you have anything you are happy to pledge or donate as a raffle prize please place it on the table near the tuck shop/serving hatch under the raffle sign or contact Claire the club social secretary by email.

We really hope you can join us on the night or help the night go with a swing in any way you feel you can help.

Please email  if you can help in any way with the evening or with the clear up afterwards. Many thanks to all of you that have helped so far!

Very best wishes to you all and look forward to seeing you soon.

Claire
